Our Story

Art to be lived in

In the Pacios area, one of Galicia’s most beautiful valleys, Antica Pacios was born as a space where design and history converge.

With only five rooms, two suites, and an independent apartment, we offer private and exclusive stays in the heart of Sarria, one of the most significant towns along the Camino de Santiago.

Our identity is a reflection of Porvir39, our iconic antique shop currently located on Rúa Porvir, right on the Camino de Santiago.

Since 1985, we have been dedicated to recovering the essence of the past to build the present, and that very same philosophy dresses every corner of our accommodation.

Antica Pacios is a living gallery. Each room has been carefully decorated with pieces from our collection: from period furniture and paintings to unique collectibles. Here, guests don’t just stay; they live alongside a selection of exclusive objects.

This antique collection, spanning various styles and eras, is fully available to our guests.

Sarria is not just a stop on the Camino de Santiago; it is a town born from a royal decree to serve the pilgrim. Founded in 1194 by King Alfonso IX as Vilanova de Sarria, this enclave was strategically designed to be the most important defensive and hospitable stronghold on the Galician route.

Staying here means immersing yourself in a tangible medieval legacy: from the Church of San Salvador, whose 13th-century Romanesque doorway has welcomed travelers for eight hundred years, to the Fortress Tower, the last remaining witness to the power of the County of Lemos.
